Jul 18, 2007: PH's - what would you write about?
I've been talking with a contact at large Christian web site (more details later) that includes topics about being a pastor & being a pastor's wife. In talking with them, I got an invitation to submit an article on the topic of Pastor's Husband. (Wow! A major web site acknowedges we exist!) In particular, they are asking for "supportive information for husbands of pastors".
I'd like to make the most of this opportunity, so I'm going to give it some thought before writing up an article. In fairness to the web site, I'd like to write a new article instead of submitting one of my blog entries.
I fully expect the demographic of this web site's readers to be entirely conservative Christian, overwhelmingly be non-PH, and probably largely non-pastor readers.
What would you write? If you're a Pastor's Husband, what would you most like to communicate to the Christian world?
If you're not a PH, what would you most like to know?

I think the big thing is that as men we are protective of our wives.
We live in a fallen world and people will disagree with their pastor from time to time. Sometimes the pastor desireves to be disagreed with.
Now in theory pastors are trained to deal with this. Pastor's spouses are not. You throw in a bit of male bravado and it makes things interesting.
I'm not saying at some poing "going postal" will be replaced by "going Pastor's Husband." But it would be nice if the world knew I am in the process of learning how to live in a community that at times is going to be at odds with the women I love.
